Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 10 June 2026

Welcome to Aflore. By accessing our website (https://aflorebooks.com/), using our communication channels (Instagram, WhatsApp, or Email), contracting our professional services, or purchasing our products, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. General Information

2. Scope & Purpose

These Terms and Conditions govern:

  • The use of our official website (including the Blog, the Learn Peruvian Spanish resource hub, and our Library platform), and linked social media channels.
  • The purchase of our physical products (including books, custom notebooks, handmade recycled paper, and artisanal crafts).
  • The contracting of our custom services, which include digital printing, artisanal bookbinding, independent author publishing services (proofreading, layout formatting, editorial design), and personalised notebooks.
  • The access, download, and purchase of digital products (eBooks, learning guides or materials, and media) and print editions (paperback and hardcover) managed via our own Shop, or through external platforms such as Amazon.com, Draft2Digital, among others.

3. In-Stock Retail Products & Multi-Platform Sales

Aflore products are available across multiple distribution channels. While our core inventory is always available directly on our website (https://aflorebooks.com), select items may also be purchased via our official storefronts on third-party platforms.

Third-Party Platforms (Amazon, Draft2Digital partners, and Etsy): Print-on-Demand (POD) books, digital eBooks, and select artisanal crafts may be purchased through our distribution partners. Transactions, data processing, and platform-specific customer service for these items are governed by the respective terms of Amazon, Draft2Digital and its partners, or Etsy. Aflore is not liable for checkout errors, delivery delays, or account issues occurring on those third-party networks.

Direct Purchases: Orders are officially placed when you complete our secure on-site checkout. An automated confirmation email will be generated upon successful payment authorization.

4. Custom Services

  • For extensive book printing, artisanal bookbinding, or independent publishing services, purchases are handled directly via our customer service channels.
  • For minor custom commissions, clients must explicitly confirm their acceptance of our Services Policy in writing before production begins. For large-scale publishing or print projects, a separate baseline service contract must be signed by both parties.
  • Once an inquiry is received, we will issue a formal proposal detailing project specifications, timelines, and costs.

All custom service orders are subject to the detailed operational guidelines set out within the Bespoke & Custom Services Policy Addendum (Section 19) below.

5. Payment Conditions

  • Online Shop Purchases: All retail products, in-stock physical items, and direct digital downloads purchased through our online store must be paid for in full (100%) at the time of checkout before dispatch or file access is granted. Payments are securely processed via our integrated encrypted payment gateway.
  • Custom Services: For all bespoke artisanal printing or independent editorial services, the following structured payment schedule applies:
    • 50% Advance Payment: Required upfront to secure materials, schedule production slots, and initiate design or editorial work.
    • 50% Final Balance: Due immediately upon project completion, prior to final shipping dispatch, delivery, or digital handoff.

Custom Project Cancellation Rule: If a client chooses to cancel a custom service or bespoke commission after production, formatting, or editing has commenced, Aflore reserves the right to retain a percentage of the initial 50% deposit to cover raw materials used, labour hours logged, and milestones achieved up to that exact date.

6. Client-Provided Content & Intellectual Property Warranties

  • Aflore reserves the right to reject any custom order or manuscript whose content is deemed offensive, discriminatory, harmful, or contrary to our ethical and aesthetic values.
  • The client guarantees that all content submitted to Aflore (including texts, images, photographs, illustrations, and designs) belongs to them or that they possess all necessary licenses, copyrights, and reproduction rights.
  • Aflore assumes absolutely no legal liability regarding unauthorised copyright or intellectual property infringement within content provided by the client.

7. Physical Products, Pricing & Availability

  • All our physical products are crafted in limited, artisanal runs or manufactured entirely to order. Availability is strictly subject to raw material stock and our boutique workshop’s current production capacity.
  • Available materials, paper types, and print-mounting formats may change periodically. These updates will be communicated directly to the client during the quoting process.
  • Prices will be clearly displayed on our website or detailed directly via our sales channels. Aflore reserves the right to modify prices at any time; however, confirmed orders will always honour the price initially agreed upon.

8. Digital Products, eBooks & The Digital Library

  • Amazon.com and Draft2Digital Distribution: Aflore provides digital books (eBooks) published via the Amazon.com or Draft2Digital partner platforms. All transactions, downloads, payments, and platform-specific technical issues for these items must be managed directly through Amazon.com, Inc. or Draft2Digital’s designated distribution partners.
  • The Library: Aflore offers direct access to learning materials, digital downloads, syllabi, or media files through our on-site Library.
    • Files downloaded directly from our digital Library are intended strictly for personal, non-commercial educational use.
    • You may not re-upload, bundle, resell, or commercially redistribute any digital assets, PDFs, or audio materials obtained from our library without our express written consent.
    • While we ensure all downloadable files are clean and verified, files are downloaded at the user’s own discretion, and Aflore is not liable for temporary data interruptions or browser-side download issues.

9. Shipping, Delivery & Dispatch Timelines

Shipping and handling fees are not fixed. They vary dynamically based on the package weight, dimensions, destination country (for international orders), or specific geographic department and region (for national shipments within Peru). The final shipping fee will be calculated and clearly displayed at checkout before you finalise your purchase.

National Shipping (Within Peru)

  • Coverage: We deliver across Peru, excluding remote or restricted locations determined inaccessible by our logistics operators.
  • Primary Carrier: Olva Courier (or alternative couriers based on availability).
  • Estimated Dispatch & Delivery Windows:
    • Lima Metropolitan Area: 4 to 7 working days.
    • Other Peruvian Regions: 5 to 15 working days.
  • The courier will make up to two (2) delivery attempts. If delivery fails and the package returns to the central distribution hub, the client can choose to pay an additional shipping fee for a retry or arrange a direct collection.
  • For massive print orders or high-volume custom corporate commissions, personal collection frameworks or designated pickup drop-points within the Lima Metropolitan Area may be manually coordinated via direct messaging, subject to mutual agreement by both parties.

International Shipping (Outside Peru)

For orders shipped outside of Peru, shipping fees, transit times, and delivery rules are strictly subject to international courier policies and the customs regulations of the destination country. The client is solely responsible for all import duties, custom clearances, tariffs, or regional taxes applied upon arrival.

10. Warranties & Liability Disclaimers

  • Aflore guarantees the high artisanal quality of our finished goods and services. If a material error occurs that is directly attributable to us (such as manufacturing defects, incorrect printing layouts, or structural damage prior to shipping), we will rectify the issue at no additional cost to the client.
  • We are not responsible for production or print errors resulting from incorrect specifications, low-resolution files, or typos present in client-submitted files if those files were previously reviewed and approved for print by the client.
  • Aflore is not liable for structural damage sustained by goods during transport once the package has been safely handed over to the courier. However, we will fully support the client in lodging formal complaints and tracking investigations with the logistics provider.

11. Core Intellectual Property Rights

  • All original content created by Aflore (including web text, educational guides, vocabulary databases, lesson structures hosted on the Learn Peruvian Spanish hub, articles within the Blog, downloadable files in the Library, book designs, illustrations, brand typography, and logos) remains the exclusive property of Taller Gráfico Aflore E.I.R.L. or has been legally licensed for our use.
  • Any unauthorised reproduction, adaptation, modification, or distribution of these assets without our express, written consent is strictly prohibited.
  • For publications created in partnership with outside authors or independent creators, proper authorship, credit lines, and copyright ownership will be prominently displayed in the final printed volume, governed by specific individual contracts.

12. Learn Peruvian Spanish Hub, Blog & Subscriptions

  • Educational Content Purpose: All linguistic data, vocabulary lists, cultural articles, and audio-visual tips provided within the Learn Peruvian Spanish hub and Blog are for general informational and educational purposes. While we strive for absolute cultural and linguistic accuracy, language learning progress depends entirely on individual student commitment.
  • Automated Subscriptions: Our website allows users to voluntarily subscribe to receive automated email notifications whenever we publish a new post on our Blog or updates to our Learn Peruvian Spanish guides.
    • Subscribing does not create a private membership portal or user account.
    • Submitted email addresses are processed securely via our automated site infrastructure and will never be shared or used for unsolicited third-party marketing. Users can opt out instantly via the unsubscribe link contained in any notification email.

13. Use of Subcontractors

Aflore reserves the right to collaborate with vetted, professional third-party contractors—such as specialised proof-readers, graphic designers, commercial printers, and traditional bookbinders—to execute specific stages of a project. In all cases, Aflore remains the final point of contact and holds full accountability for delivering the project according to our established quality benchmarks.

14. Force Majeure

Aflore shall not be held liable or responsible for production delays, shipping holdups, or service failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes natural disasters, civil strikes, national pandemics, prolonged regional utility or internet outages, or supply chain blockades. In such events, we commit to notifying affected clients immediately to arrange alternative execution strategies.

15. Website & Social Media Content Use

All content hosted on our website and social channels may be browsed or shared strictly for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided it remains unaltered and properly credited to Aflore.

External Collaborations & Contributed Content

When Aflore hosts guest articles, illustrations, literary excerpts, or reviews provided by third-party creators, it does so with explicit consent or under clear licensing agreements.

The original creator’s name will always be prominently credited. Aflore retains the right to perform minor editorial adjustments to fit our print formatting layouts or website design, while respecting the core integrity of the work.

Submitting guest content to Aflore does not grant us exclusive copyright ownership; we are simply licensed to use the material across our website, print anthologies, and social media. Collaborators can request the modification or deletion of their content at any time by reaching out through our official contact channels.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Peru. In the event of a contractual dispute, both parties agree to first seek an amicable, good-faith resolution. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the City of Lima.

17. Cookies & Platform Technologies

Because the Aflore website is built on the WordPress framework and hosted via Hostinger.com, standard cookies and tracking web technologies are utilised by the platform infrastructure to enhance navigation speed, track basic visitor traffic analytics, and remember interface preferences.

Aflore does not deploy proprietary tracking scripts, nor do we harvest or store private user browsing data. To learn more about how cookies are managed by our hosting network, please review their official Cookie Policy. By continuing to browse our site, you consent to these default platform settings.

18. Amendments to These Terms

Aflore reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current, legally binding version will always be accessible on this page alongside its latest revision date. Structural amendments will never retroactively affect pricing, terms, or delivery commitments for projects that have already been paid for and confirmed.

19. Bespoke & Custom Services Policy (Addendum)

This section acts as an official addendum to our general terms and specifically governs all manual commissions, commercial printing, artisanal design, and author services managed directly through our workshop communication channels.

19.1 Scope of Artisanal & Editorial Services

Custom projects can be commissioned as standalone packages or bundled together. Our workshop specializes in:

  • Artisanal Bookbinding & Digital Printing: Specialised production for limited, boutique print runs spanning from 20 to 50 copies.
  • Comprehensive Editorial Services: Professional orthotypographic and stylistic proofreading, interior layout typesetting, custom book cover formatting, and independent publishing guidance.
  • Professional Photo Printing & Mounting: High-grade image production utilising archival-quality permanent inks on professional media, mounted onto durable, lightweight display panels.
  • Bespoke Personalised Notebooks: Custom-tailored stationery configurations offering direct client selection over book sizes, eco-friendly paper profiles, traditional binding styles, and exclusive cover artwork.

19.2 Technical File Specifications

To maintain professional production standards, the client must submit digital assets according to the following strict technical baselines:

  • Book Layouts & Text Manuscripts: Delivered in a flattened, print-ready PDF format with all active fonts fully embedded, precise margins, appropriate layout bleeds, and a minimum structural resolution of 300 dpi.
  • Photography & Graphic Illustrations: Delivered in high-resolution PNG, TIFF, or JPG formats, preset to a minimum resolution of 300 dpi at actual target print dimensions.
  • Custom Notebook Elements (Covers, Embroidery, or Tooling Graphics): Submitted as high-resolution PDFs or uncompressed JPG layout files.

Note: Aflore conducts a fundamental, complimentary pre-flight technical review of all incoming files prior to starting production. If file adjustments are structurally necessary, we will notify the client immediately to correct them before printing.

19.3 Restricted Content Boundaries

Aflore takes immense pride in our editorial and ethical benchmarks. We explicitly reserve the absolute right to reject printing or publishing any manuscript, artwork, or text that:

  • Promotes explicit discrimination, racism, sexism, or contains hate speech.
  • Encourages violence, harassment, explicit pornography, or intentional public disinformation.
  • Infringes upon active copyrights, trademarks, intellectual property rights, or local legislation enforced within the Republic of Peru or the project’s destination country.

19.4 Final Approvals, Modifications & Cancellations

  • Clients may request layout adjustments, asset updates, or structural changes at any time before providing final written confirmation (via WhatsApp or email) stating that files are ready for print, or before raw workshop production has physically begun.
  • Once physical production, paper cutting, binding, or active editing has commenced, layouts are locked. If a client requests a modification or cancellation after this point, Aflore will retain a calculated percentage of the initial 50% advance payment to directly compensate for specialised raw materials consumed, logged studio hours, and administrative milestones achieved up to that date. Advance deposits will not be refunded if significant material costs or production hours have already been spent.

19.5 Production Errors & Reconstruction Warranties

  • Errors Attributable to Aflore: If a finished product suffers from clear structural defects directly caused by our workshop (such as binding alignment failures, faulty print registration, or design layout deviations from the approved proofs), Aflore will reprint and replace the affected units completely free of charge.
  • Errors Attributable to the Client: If the final print reflects typos, low-resolution blurring, or structural errors that were present within the files approved by the client, Aflore cannot assume the cost of a complimentary reprint. In these instances, we will work alongside the author to offer remediation print runs at a reduced, preferred material cost wherever our current workshop capacity permits.

19.6 Contributor Credits & Author Platform Promotion

  • Vetted Subcontracting: To ensure premium quality, Aflore collaborates with an elite network of external freelancers (including specialist proof-readers, graphic artists, indexers, and illustrators). Unless expressly prohibited by a separate contract, their creative contributions will be clearly acknowledged within the publication’s credit pages.
  • Studio Marketing Rights: Aflore reserves the right to capture clean photographs, behind-the-scenes videos, or digital previews of custom notebooks, printed books, and art commissions to display within our promotional portfolios, digital catalogues, and social media channels—always ensuring original authors and designers are prominently tagged and credited. If you prefer to keep your project completely confidential and out of public marketing materials, please explicitly inform us in writing during your initial quotation phase.

19.7 Direct Payment Methods & Electronic Invoicing

  • Accepted National Payment Gateways (Peru): Digital balances for custom work can be processed via Yape, Plin, or direct national bank transfers.
  • Accepted International Payment Gateways: Global clients may settle invoices via PayPal, Global66, Payoneer, or direct international wire transfers. All transaction fees, currency conversion spreads, or international receiving commissions are the exclusive responsibility of the client and must be factored into the transfer amount.
  • Legal Electronic Invoicing: Upon successful receipt of the final 50% balance payment at project completion, Aflore will generate and dispatch a formal electronic invoice:
    • Boleta Electrónica: Issued automatically to individual retail clients (Personas Naturales).
    • Factura Electrónica: Issued to registered corporate entities (Personas Jurídicas) upon explicit receipt of a valid business RUC number prior to payment processing.
